HMSI and BB Racing Forge Title Partnership
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India (HMSI) has officially announced a title partnership with BB Racing for Season 3 of the Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL). Under this association, the Pune-based franchise will compete under the name Honda BB Racing. The partnership agreement was signed in Pune by Mr. Mutsuo Usui, Director of Sales & Marketing for HMSI, and Mr. Atul Chordia, Chairman of Panchshil Realty and Owner of BB Racing.
The team will compete utilizing the Honda CRF450R and Honda CRF250R motocross motorcycles, carrying Honda Racing’s signature red identity into the season. These machines are purpose-built for competition, and Honda currently races the CRF450R in the premier MXGP class of the FIM Motocross World Championship. BB Racing has competed using Honda machinery since the ISRL’s inaugural season.
This move represents HMSI’s strategic shift toward off-road motorsport, intending to bring Honda’s global off-road racing heritage to the Indian audience. The collaboration also aligns with the brand’s growing emphasis on adventure and all-terrain riding. This focus is further reflected in HMSI’s evolving product portfolio, which includes the recently unveiled Honda XR300L and Honda XR300 Rally dual-purpose motorcycles. Since the introduction of its domestic one-make racing programme in 2008, HMSI has consistently supported motorcycle racing development in India through various national and international platforms.
